This children’s peg loom is a fun and affordable way to experience real tapestry weaving for children 6 years and older who have either never experienced weaving on a loom before or who have, but like a smaller loom.
Smartly designed, this sturdy, hardwood peg loom is 7” x 10” for small hands and has built in slanted nylon pegs to help keep weaving on the loom for little ones.
Wool yarn and a cotton warp string is included, and more yarn can be added as needed for future projects or practice.
Finished projects measure up to 5 1/2” x 9”. Some project ideas are wall hangings, doll blankets, hot pads, dollhouse rugs, and tabletop displays under lamps or knick knacks, small wall tapestry designs, pillows and purses or bags.
Weaving on a peg loom helps children develop fine motor control, finger dexterity, concentration, problem-solving skills and basic math skills, not to mention the pride and self-confidence children feel in their work.
