Alder and Alouette Shipping Updates:
**It’s wildfire season here in the Pacific NW, which also means another year known as 'smoke season' as the smoke particulates from wildfires, even those hundreds and hundreds of miles away, can fill the air in Washington State with hazardous pollution levels, limiting our outdoor time.
In addition, there are always tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, tsunamis, mud and rock slides, unusually heavy rainstorms and lightening storms and flooding happening more and more every year.
Why the gloom and doom? We just wanted to let you know that once we transfer your package to UPS or USPS, please be aware that drivers may be delayed at times if their route becomes dangerous, resulting in them waiting or rerouting. Please follow USPS and UPS on their websites for natural disaster delays.**
Postal Fee Increase for Retail Shipping
**USPS and UPS have raised our shipping rates the last two years in a row. Please follow UPS and USPS for their current rates as our checkout is connected directly to them. We let them choose the most accurate, realistic rates for you rather than relying on estimates or flat fees that end up costing us a lot of money that, as a small family business, just isn’t sustainable.
Current Shipping Estimates for Alder and Alouette
As a small, family run business, we are currently taking at least 2-3 business days to process, pack and transfer your package to the shipping service. At times, we may take up to 5 business days as online shopping is ebbing and flowing at the moment.
Upon arrival at the shipping service, we have been informed that customers should follow delays and on-time announcements on the USPS or UPS website.
Holiday shipping seasons may take longer, so please plan accordingly, especially during the winter holiday season.
Expedited shipping does not apply to the 2 - 5 business days processing time.
International Shipping
At this time, we are no longer shipping internationally with the exception of Canada. This may change without notice. If it does, the option, or lack of option, will be noted at checkout before you reach the payment section so that you can continue or back out of your purchase.
