Cicely Mary Barker's flower fairies are world-renowned. They are perfect for nature tables, nursery or playroom décor, fairy card collections or sending a 'thinking of you' postcard to that special friend or family member. Many Grandparents especially love handwritten correspondence from their grandchildren as it’s a lost form of communication they still remember and miss.
About the Illustrator: Cicely Mary Barker (1895 - 1973) was an English illustrator best known for her fairy and flower illustrations and books. In 1923, her first book, Flower Fairies of the Spring was published. Both Summer and Autumn Flower Fairy books would follow and the Winter version was assembled post-humously from her work in 1985. Barker was greatly influenced by the works of Kate Greenaway. She donated most of her artwork to fundraisers for churches and missionary organizations.
