DESCRIPTION

We All Play is a beautiful ode to the animals and humans we share our world with, the bilingual book We All Play by Julie Flett belongs on every bookshelf. The diversity and interconnectedness of nature is shown through an indigenous Cree perspective, complete with a glossary of Cree words for wild animals at the back of the book.

Readers will encounter birds who chase and chirp, bears who wiggle and wobble, whales who swim and squirt, owls who peek and peep, and a diverse group of kids who love to do the same, shouting, “We play too! / kimêtawânaw mîna.”

The Cree word for each animal in the book is listed in the back matter, and the refrain throughout the book, "Me too!" is given in English and Cree.

The animals featured include a rabbit, fox, turtle, beluga, seal, goose, bear, bat, wolf, bobcat, snake, and buffalo.
