• The handle is100% FSC Certified Moso Bamboo, finished with a dip of European REACH legislation safety tested, non-toxic paint and a finishing rub of vegetable oil. This handle is 100% biodegradable and compostable. 
• The soft bristles are 62% castor bean oil and 38% nylon. The castor bean oil is compostable but the nylon is not; therefore, we recommend pulling the bristle out with pliers and disposing of them responsibly. 

Note: Compostable items will not biodegrade in a landfill as the right conditions do not exist; therefore, we encourage you to build your own compost bin or find your community one that you can contribute to. There are lots of free plans on Pinterest and low cost plans on Etsy for compost bins.
