These are adorable little 2.5” birchwood bowls that can be used for so many different things.
We first used them sorting felt balls. Next we moved on to sorting other small items (buttons, coins, nuts…) during our Kindergarten homeschool day. It just naturally mixed right into our nature hike one day, our nut and seed lesson another and the children observing me sewing on buttons another while they played house.
Afterwards, the children made them into doll bowls to feed their baby dolls and then served pretend ice cream to me during pretend play time. They then decided to use our eco dough to shape ice cream into the bowls, which then turned into noodles, worms and then it was used as a snail shell on the back of the snail shaped from dough.
As you can see, this is such a simple wooden toy but can turn into many, many things, making it a great open ended toy addition to any home. (I even added one to my desk, which now holds my paperclips!)
Available to order singly or in sets. When bowls are ordered in sets, 14 100% wool balls are added along with a set of two bamboo tongs for fine motor skill practice. One set is 7” long and the other is 4” long.
We recommend periodically treating these little bowls with a plant-grade, high temperature oil, such as coconut oil, or beeswax. Do not submerge and leave sitting in water. (Water and wood don’t play well together.)
