This handmade knight's tunic is made from very strong, suede leather, leather textiles trim, leather lacing, metal eyelets and on the long tunic, a wooden bead.
The short tunic measures about 60 x 42 cm (about 22-24” long x about 16" across) and best fits kids between the ages of 3 to 8 years. Thanks to the leather lacing at the sides, you can expand or tighten the width. The leather lacing at the shoulders allows it to change length a bit too as your child grows.
The long tunic measures about 81 x 40 cm (about 32” x 16”) and best fits kids between the ages of 6 to 10 years. There is leather lacing at the neck with a wooden bead and an integrated leather girdle.
JUTE AND LEATHER PROCESSING
The leather is tanned using Anilin leather coloring without any harmful chemicals to give the tunic an authentic look and feel with none of the bad stuff (AZO-free)!
YOU MIGHT WANT TO ADD
Finish the look by adding our heavy duty, handmade knight's helmet with leather suede, linen or jute details and one of our wooden shields and wooden swords or daggers with sheath.
The tunic will be the perfect gift to accompany many of our books about knights, dragons, castles and more. One of our favorites for kids between the ages of 5 to 10 years is Prince Martin Wins His Sword, a kid’s version of the classic Epic Heroes Journey set during medieval times. It’s about a 20 minute read-aloud by an adult or older sibling or a nice two part read for your independent reader. The text is engaging, and it’s a fun story about a boy prince, his loyal knight dog and how he earns his sword from his father, the king by doing the right thing.
