The technique is along the skill level of macrame (but with more weaving, less knots) and creates some beautiful designs. 

This diy craft kit comes with instructions and all of the materials you need for making a gorgeous, 18 in weaving in red, black and white.

Once you learn this technique of finger weaving you can make all kinds of other designs and sizes, using all kinds of yarn types and weights.
