DESCRIPTION
Filia Oil Crayons. These rectangular-shaped, hard oil crayons, from the Danish family company Filia, have been a classic in Danish schools for decades.
The lightfast earth-friendly colors are transparent and mix very well. They leave behind a clean, dry and smudge- resistant surface. The classic Filia Oil Crayons are square AND pointed for the drawing of defined contours. The edges or the flat surfaces are suitable for two-dimensional drawing and shading.
The color properties allow students who are learning art and like to color darkly, to cover the page translucently so that it doesn’t appear to have been colored with markers. The oil colors on paper also accept colored pencil nicely for those pieces where you want to combine media.
These classic natural crayons are square and have a tip for contours or two-dimensional drawing and shading. They have no wrapper so you can use the entire side of the crayon to apply color. Using the side helps to discourage students from outlining forms when learning to draw. A point, however, allows more precision when needed, such as with contours, form drawings and geometric drawings.
These hard oil crayons are often used for Waldorf form drawing, as well.
These crayons are available in 6, 9, 12, 18, 24 or 36 count assorted colors and a box of black.
