DESCRIPTION
This Corrine Lapierre DIY embroidery kit has everything needed to make one gorgeously embroidered heart (except scissors!). The heart can be made into an ornament, pretty decor for a knick knack bowl or a very pretty pin cushion. It can also be a sweet “I love you” or a “just because.”
This is a great Valentine’s Day gift or Mother’s Day gift, especially for someone who loves embroidery or is wanting to learn or practice, as this has a nice combination of stitches.

HOW GOOD SHOULD YOU BE AT EMBROIDERY FOR THIS KIT?
Everyone is different so of course “it depends!” A beginner or intermediate embroidery-level adult will most likely catch on and do more and do it quicker and better than a beginner or intermediate embroidery-level child.
For reference, this is considered an intermediate embroidery kit for ages 10 years and older.
CHILDREN 10 YEARS AND OLDER
Intermediate embroidery-level for a child means a 10 or 12-year-old needs to have his or her basic stitches down, have practiced them on several occasions and be proficient at doing them independently so they can focus on the new stitches.
ADULTS
An adult beginner embroidery-level, on the other hand, could technically complete this kit without knowing basic stitches in advance if he or she follows the stitch guide diagrams. There are also several ‘how to’ videos online for each stitch type, which are a great help for beginners.
None of the intermediate stitches are super tricky and there is a detailed stitch guide and instructions.
GOOD TO KNOW
One suggestion based on my own years of embroidery and teaching others — if you are new to the French Knot, I recommend this you tube tutorial. It’s helpful when completing your first French knot to see it in action. Once you do it, it becomes breeze!
